Why should I study Animal Behaviour at LJMU?
This course offers ample opportunity for work-related and work-based learning designed to enhance the employability of graduates in the competitive area of animal behaviour. Students have the opportunity to undertake a short (4-6 week) work-based learning placement and/or a sandwich (12 month) placement with an animal behaviour related organisation in the UK or abroad. These placements provide the chance to put skills and knowledge developed in the first and second years into practice, further develop personal and subject–related skills and acquire new skills to enhance your CV. The sandwich placement offers a year-long break from formal study and contributes significantly to a successful final year. Students may choose to complete a sandwich placement, a work-based learning placement and an independent research project if they wish, maximising the opportunity for independent learning & specialisation.
