Homes that have been listed on the MLS sell faster and for more money than homes for that are sold strictly “by owner” outside the MLS. However, buyers shopping the MLS know that the seller owes a commission and will figure that into their offers. As a seller, you can take advantage of this with a flat fee MLS listing, yet pay only half or less of the standard commission!
