Why should I define a dive computer in ScubaTrak?

0

There are three places to define a dive computer and each one functions differently. The first place is in the Equipment List. As an important part of any diver’s equipment, a dive computer should be recorded here not just to record cost, serial number and place of purchase for insurance reporting should the unit be lost or stolen or damaged, but also to maintain a complete service history you should record any scheduled or unscheduled service or support issues for the unit. The second place is in Dive Computers under Diving Information/Utilities/ Administration/ScubaTrak Dive Computer Setup. This is where the proper directory path to the manufacturer’s software is set. The third place is in a ScubaLink to select which dive computer, and therefore which dive computer manufacturer software, to look for when reading the dive data file and preparing the dive data for importation into ScubaTrak.
