The School of Law at Northumbria University has many years of experience in offering practical, academic postgraduate legal qualifications. It has a reputation for being among the premier vocational Law Schools – and that reputation is justified. We were accredited as excellent by the Higher Education Funding Council. We were also rated Best New University in the Times Good University Guide 2006.The Law School offered its first LLM in 1995, and has been successfully running LLMs on a distance learning basis since 1999. The Law School now offers 11 programmes across commercial, medical and legal fields with a range of core and optional modules designed to suit the needs of all students.
