Why should I buy the more expensive REDI-EXIT fire escape system over a cheaper chain ladder?
When you realize you are trapped in a fire and only have seconds to escape you do not always have time to search under a bed or in the closet to find a chain ladder. Once you find it then you must deploy it, by feeding it out the window and hooking it to the windowsill, taking valuable additional time. This is often difficult for young children and the elderly to do.
