Why should hospitals participate?
Participating hospitals will be eligible for additional Medicare payments and national recognition as a top performer in the project. Participants will gain experience with a quality-based payment model, and they will have the opportunity to receive recognition at a national level for delivering quality care. Participating hospitals also will receive regular comparative reports on the quality and costs of care for five specific medical conditions. Just as important, they are leaders in a quality movement thats good for everyone hospitals, patients, and all of us who pay for healthcare.
