Why should citizens of Collier County expect that the research park actually would work the way its described?
Of course there are no guarantees, but economic developers in Collier County point to other successful research parks as examples, including North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park. Florida’s own research communities are growing, sparked by the expansion of Sanford-Burnham, Scripps and Torrey Pines. In addition, preliminary conversations are already under way with a number of companies and organizations – from within and outside Florida, and including major healthcare institutions – that have expressed great interest in co-locating with JAX in Collier County.
