Why should carpet and lumber that is put with the trash be no longer than 4 feet?
Bundles of carpet or pieces of lumber that are put out with the trash should be 4 feet in length and weigh no more than 50 pounds to insure the safety and efficiency of the crews that handle these materials. These size restrictions also help avoid damage to collection vehicles.
