Why should all the adults attend even if they aren’t all mentoring a class?
Well, for starters, it doesn’t cost anything extra to attend the scholar day if you are signed up for the second day (the adult day), which is pretty much the same as saying it’s free (which is pretty much the same as saying it’s extra fantastic). But more importantly, as parents and mentors we have a responsibility to improve our own education, not just our scholars’ education. Not to mention, we are social by nature and how do we communicate? No, not through text messages! By voice: Talking to each other; conversing; speaking (and, yes, even public speaking). That being said, the skills that are taught at the Unleashing Your Voice! seminar will help you not only start a public speaking class (if you so choose) but it will help you in areas of your life other than education as well.
