Why should a PDF file be used as a photo album?
PDF files have a huge advantage over many forms of picture viewing. First of all, it is a way to put all related pictures into a convenient book form. You can page/click through the book (particularly easy using a scroll mouse) one picture at a time. If you use text captions on your pictures, you can search the text and find a picture at random or you can use the thumbnails on the sidebar to browse. When it comes to sharing with others, the PDF file can be easily emailed to your friends as a single file, without having to hassle with separate picture files. And remember, the PDF viewer (from Adobe) is free and can be enjoyed by anyone over a wide range of computing platforms.
