Why should a just government not provide healthcare?
I’ve had a lot of experience with Debate and I have actually debated this topic before. Your resolution is probably something like “a just government should provide healthcare for its citizens.” Here are some ideas that you should check out: – when HC is government-provided, the people lose their autonomy – people are allowed to make their own decisions about which doctors they want and how much they intend to pay for HC – when HC is not provided for, people are suddenly inspired to search for cures and new drugs – the government can no longer force you to use only the HC it can offer I would also suggest that you try to “flip” the affirmative arguments you find and see if there is any evidence you can use to support the flips.
