Why seek counselling?
There come times in our life when we really feel the need to talk to someone who can listen to us. Most often, we would find this in a friend or a relative. Yet, there are times when we feel that we need to talk to someone outside of our circle because our usual source of support can be too close or be part of that same problem. At times, we might feel the need to talk to someone who can listen to our story without judging us. We would need to get help in untangling feelings and worries. We need to find someone who will help us express our thoughts and emotions. We would need someone to help us work out our own solutions to a problem. We would need someone to support us and be there for us as we go through this process. A counsellor is that person that can help at such moments in our lives. As with everything in life, taking that first step is the hardest. However, most people say that once they have experienced the non-judgemental attitude as well as the positive regard of the counsel
