Why scholarship vouchers could hurt public schools?
The proposed scholarship voucher program has flaws that are magnified in the wake of recent budget cuts. NJASA Executive Director Dr. Richard Bozza explains that the program could take much-needed funds from public schools and divert them to private and religious education. This is at a time when the state cannot fully fund the School Reform Funding Act for all of New Jersey’s public schools. Reconsider the voucher program once the state can fund its public schools, says the NJASA.
