Why Sardinias new provinces CAPs remain the same?
Answer Sardinia represents an exception as far as CAP’s second and third digit meaning is concerned, which usually indicate the province. Furthermore chief towns differ having as a third digit number 1 or 9, while the new 4 chief towns continue to keep the former provincial CAP (i.e. with 0 as third digit). Nevertheless from an organizational point of view this CAP numbering is still valid, it has been decided not to change it for the time being. This decision implies that parcel’s grouping should respect the up-to-now CAP’s application, referring to the 4 original provinces.
