Why Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds?

0

We decided to begin our hand blown glass hummingbird collectibles with the Ruby-Throated Hummingbird simply because it’s probably the most recognized of the hummingbird species. Its habitat is east of the Rockies. For hummingbird fanciers west of the Rockies, next in our hand blown glass hummingbird collection was the Costa’s Hummingbird. Finally, in time for holiday gift-giving, we completed the gift set of three hummingbird suncatchers with the Broad Billed Hummingbird. The set of three hummingbirds provides a sparkling, iridescent display of green, red, purple, pink, turquoise and gold that reminds us of our visits to hummingbird aviaries.
