WHY RISK NEEDLESS BLOODSHED AND THE FIRING SQUAD?
With 11 senators voting against Erap, joined by four that may be swayed by friends and the preponderance of evidence, President Erap Estrada may be voted out of office. Even if this does not happen, a simple majority of senator judges voting for conviction may just send a signal to desperate elements of the population that the time has come to mount a coup d’etat. Only one of the wavering senators needs to vote against Erap to secure a simple majority, expose the venality of politicians and justify an Edsa type revolution. My advice to the leftists and the military is “Wait for the conclusion of the impeachment trial.
