Why rename Visual MainWin for UNIX and Linux?

0

While the name “MainWin,” an anagram of WinMain, works well in the C++ programming environment, few customers could relate to it in a .NET context. In fact, most folks refer to our cross-compilation software as “Mainsoft.” The name has grown on us, and earlier this year, we made the decision to rename our product suite “Mainsoft.” We are implementing the Mainsoft for UNIX and Linux name in stages. Initially, you will find updated materials on the developer zone and on our product support pages. The next build will incorporate Mainsoft for UNIX and Linux into the product GUI and documentation.
