The purpose of establishing standards and a voluntary system for professional certification of addiction and prevention professionals is threefold: • For the client: To promote the availability of competent service providers • For the public at large: To provide competent professionals who have met those standards required for third party underwriting; to promote effective treatment and prevention services for persons with chemical and behavioral dependencies and their families; and to promote effective pr
