Why Pro-Set 200 rather than a standard SLC processor?
The ERC2 firmware native to the 5/04P processor provides a model-based, feed forward control algorithm which delivers automatic and adaptive closed loop tuning of pressure and flow loops associated with injection molding. When using a standard SLC processor these critical process functions would be programmed using ladder logic which would not provide the automatic or adaptive tuning functions and would deliver slower performance than ERC2.
