WHY PRE-PLAN FOR TELEPHONE SERVICE?
Careful pre-planning for telephone facilities substan¬tially increases the value of a building, the associated rentability and protects the building aesthetics. It affords the owner and occupant flexibility in future planning so that subsequent telephone installations, rearrangements, and maintenance can be readily and economically ac¬complished without unduly disrupting the daily business operations of the building occupants. According to tele¬phone historical data, four out of every ten telephones in commercial buildings are relocated every year. Pre¬planning clarifies what is required for the telephone sys¬tem such that misunderstandings and controversies may be avoided and future changes can be accommodated.
