Why plants that grow in a temperature deciduous forest…?

0

Every plant that grows anywhere has three needs nutrition water sunlight. Each plant growing in any area is successful because it adapted to the environment. No cactus is going to grow in the tropics… it’s too wet, and the other trees too tall. It’s “feet” would drown, and it would be overshadowed by the canopy. All plants face problems with competition from other plants. Temperate deciduous trees have adapted to cold, tropical ones don’t have this restriction. Tropical plants grow in very poor soils, temperate deciduous plants don’t have this problem. Every plant that grows anywhere has restrictions placed on it by its environment, and has adapted well enough to succeed, even if only marginally.
