WHY PLAN FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS?
The Stillwater City Commission has appropriated money every year for capital spending. Every year our communitys need for capital improvements has exceeded the money available. Foresight in anticipating and planning for future needs may save precious dollars in the long run and avoid crises situations by reducing unexpected major costs. By planning ahead, everyone is able to benefit from greater participation and analysis of planned projects, and by generally knowing when they can be expected to be accomplished.
