Why People Hack Computers?
People want the information contained within those computers, so they try and extract that information by force. This is hacking – a forceful verb to indicate the nature of the action. Some people hack computers legitimately. They’ve forgotten their password, for example, and need to hack their way back into the machine. Most hacking is illegitimate – illegal – though. People are hacking their way in to get information that they should not have. This is often done for financial gain – they go after credit card details, bank account info, etc. So they can steal peoples’ money. Some hackers do it just to annoy people or prove how clever they are. These are the kinds of people who also create and distribute computer viruses (virii?). I’m not judging them – you can do that for yourself……..
