Why people are always talking about “FEAR OF GOD”?
The fear i think, comes from thinking that you might die in your sin. That you may die without getting a chance to ask for forgiveness. Sure, God is love, but God also hates sin. He cannot be around sin, therefore, if you die in sin, he will send you away when you reach his presence for judgement. Think about it, wouldnt people rather believe that they can sin all they want and get away with it than believe that they will be judged for the wrong they did? Thumbs-downing my answer doesnt make it any less true. (2 Kings 17:35-36) with whom the LORD had made a covenant and charged them, saying: “You shall not fear other gods, nor bow down to them nor serve them nor sacrifice to them; {36} “but the LORD, who brought you up from the land of Egypt with great power and an outstretched arm, Him you shall fear, Him you shall worship, and to Him you shall offer sacrifice.
