Why on earth did they build Windsor Castle on the flight path of Heathrow?
Air traffic control that is the reason. In 1108 there were so many witches flying over Windsor they introduced Air traffic control. These were bonfires in those days. When a witch flypast was due they lit a line of bonfires to guide them.It worked very well, there are no records of besom riding witches colliding, though they did have a major incident in Doncaster. The expertise achieved at Windsor was declared a World wide achievement,KLM was the first Dutch flying witch company to recognise this, originally known as Keep Left Momentarily then see where the burger goes.So being such a safe bit of Airspace Heathrow was born in the knowledge that Virgin Aircraft would not collide with the castle despite the fact the Pilot and co Pilot dress in red and wear high heals,in line with staff policy.
