Why offer free eBooks?
I make all my novels available as free eBooks. Click on the green ‘eBooks’ circle at the top of the page or click on any novel by name or by cover image, then click on one of the “eBook” links, and you can download the eBook for free in any of over half a dozen formats. The eBooks are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 license, which means you can copy them, share them, remix them, re-write them, and even create derivative works based on them, as long as you don’t try to do so in any commercial way. (ie: Don’t try to sell your copies, remixes, and derivative works.) You may be wondering why.
