Why Octavian ( Augustus) portrayed?
Augustus delivered peace and prosperity to Rome and its empire. His victory over Antony ended over a century of violent civil and political strife between Roman factions, making life for the ordinary citizen much more peaceful.Stabilization of the empires borders and army reforms (which made joining the military attractive as a career for both citizens and non citizens) improved law and order within the empire,and reduced external threats considerably. Overall, Augustus’ rule and policies ushered in the Pax Romana, a nearly 2 century period of internal peace and prosperity for the empire, which faced no serious external threats during this time.
