Why Not Visit Hartlepool in Durham on the North East Coast of England?
Once a rather tired destination, Hartlepool on the North East coast of England has undergone somewhat of a transformation over recent years. This renaissance has been highlighted most particularly by the development of the five hundred berth marina which attracts visitors from all over the world. It has also been helped along the way with the introduction of a host of top class restaurants; both for standard fare and fine dining. Indeed, just in the marina area itself there are over twenty five restaurants to tempt visitors. Whilst recent years have seen such modern developments, Hartlepool has an extremely interesting history. As legend has it, the residents of Hartelpool hanged a monkey, which was perceived by them to be a French spy, coming over to the Isles during the Napoleonic Wars.
