Why not use a mineral based cuticle oil, cream or lotion?
The problem with lotions, creams and oils that contain mineral oil is that mineral oil acts as a lubricant, this oil does not absorbed into the skin or the fingernails. Mineral oil repels water. Lotions, creams and oils that contain mineral oil can cause lifting of acrylic or gel nails, because the mineral oil can penetrate underneath the nail enhancement. Some mineral oils, depending on the other ingredients, can cause acrylics to discolor. When buying cream, cuticle oil or lotion, read the ingredients before purchasing! Choose a natural nail cuticle oil by the natural ingredients such as jojoba, lavender, grape seed, almond oil, etc.
