Why not transplant SAV for restoration?
Transplanting SAV has had limited success during the past 70 years in which it has been employed. We believe that it makes more sense to raise SAV for planting than removing them from existing beds, thereby damaging these areas, to plant them (now stressed) in locations which may not be suitable for their growth. Using greenhouse grown SAV and scientific site-selection criteria, we believe that SAV restoration can achieve great success.
