Why not split off a new group for Sandman/superheroes/adult comics/etc?
Why not discuss them in the existing groups? If you *really* want to split off a new group, it’s more difficult than you anticipate. Read “How to Make a New Usenet Newsgroup” in news.announce.newusers; read “How to Make a New alt Newsgroup” in alt.config; and then read news.groups and alt.config for six months. If you can’t wait six months, read news.groups and alt.config for a year. • Where can I get GIFs or other scanned comics art? MOST of these are copyrighted. And the copyright owners may very well be on the newsgroup. Beyond that your best bet is alt.binaries.pictures.cartoons. DO NOT POST binary files such as GIFs or JPEGs to any group without “binaries” written in the title or your usenet experience will not be a happy one. • Are there pros on the net? A bunch.
