Why not separate two Chula Vistas?

The people of Chula Vista who live in the southwestern part of the city would like sidewalks with paved streets. Nearly 30 years ago, we were asked to be a part of the city of Chula Vista. We were told that the city would be able to provide us with better services than the county or our local elected fire district. We are still waiting while our children walk between parked vehicles on the sides of the roads, or in the street itself. The city has provided a lot of stop signs at intersections, but they do cost less than traffic lights. Yes, build the new City Hall; we need to keep the northwestern section of the city looking good. Some people think we have a divided city of west and east. I don’t think so, we also have the northwestern and southwestern. A divided house will not stand. I look forward to when Chula Vista will be two cities, one – Chula Vista, and the other – East Chula Vista. I’ll vote for that. WILLARD H.
