Why not register with the NSW government?
NSW electricity producers and generators and NSW forestry owners have access to the NSW scheme. The NSW Greenhouse Gas Abatement Scheme allows NSW electricity retailers and generators to meet mandatory targets for reducing the emission of greenhouse gases from electricity generation, supply and use. The NSW scheme pays essentially for Forests NSW to grow trees in NSW. The NSW Scheme aims to establish a state electricity sector benchmark for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Electricity retail suppliers and generators have been required to meet mandatory targets for abating the emission of greenhouse gases from 1 January 2003. The NSW scheme does not cover vehicles, households, small businesses or producers other than power stations.
