Louth is located on the eastern edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds and it is a busy and thriving market town with an maze of narrow streets and predominantly Georgian and Victorian architecture. The town’s economy was based mainly on agriculture and the wool industry. As part of Louth’s re-generation a modern industrial estate is being developed on the outskirts of the town which caters for a wide diversity of business and manufacturing companies. Louth has 4 primary schools these being Kidgate Primary School, Lacey Gardens Junior School, St Michael’s Church of England School, and Eastfield Infants and Nursery School. The town has 3 secondary schools, all of which have their own Sixth Forms – Cordeaux School, Monks Dyke Technology College and the renowned King Edward VI Grammar School.
