why not let a new nickname come?
Seems timely as you’re establishing yourself here with the players, staff and fans to see what kind of new name comes up. Coach Mac? Who knows, but it’s interesting that you’re tied to a name that none of us ever knew you by. Coach P: Herb and Ri, Coach P is a very special name for me and it goes way back to Jimmy V. My maiden name is Palombo. I’m Italian, I look Italian, therefore if I were to use the name “Coach Mac” I would some how come across as Irish or Scottish. I am a little bit of those but my heart and soul is Italian. I even speak with my hands; so therefore, the P is symbolic of that maiden name. It has huge meaning and at the time that I thought about it, I went back to Jimmy V and Valvano because I thought that it was neat that he was Jimmy V.
