DIS has been working closely with Microsoft to determine the best upgrade path for the organization. UMMC’s current system is no longer supported by Microsoft. VISTA is the most current Windows operating system. Windows 7 is only in the testing phase with a tentative release date of some time next year. Any new software product must be tested before it is implemented at UMMC. We will not move to Windows 7 until we are certain it will meet the University’s business needs.
