Kids love to paint, that’s a given! It’s time to move them to the next level of Easter egg artistry with this simple, yet creative method of expression. Sponge painting on any surface is simple and creates wonderful results. To begin, either cut or tear up an old sponge. Have your kids test their creativity on some construction paper before moving on to the eggs. Each and every sponge will produce a different result, so have them try different sponges to see which pattern they like best. Dip the sponge into some paint, then dab off the excess onto a paper towel. Dab the sponge onto the construction paper, trying different patterns and amounts of paint. Once they have finished their practice session, it’s time to move on to the eggs. The method remains the same, only the medium has changed.
