We have lost the true spirit of the Christmas season! Accustomed to overspending and paying with our credit cards have caused us to spoil ourselves and our children and we have lost the true meaning of Christmas. Maybe, the current economic situation and tightening of credit may be a blessing in disguise. Remember the good old days when you appreciated every gift you received on Christmas? I can remember when I was a kid; I could hardly wait until Christmas morning when we could open our presents under the Christmas tree. We appreciated everything and would play with our new toys for weeks. Each and every present was valued. Last year we traveled to see our kids and have Christmas with them and the grandchildren. Since they live in a nearby town they held off opening their gifts until we were there; and after delivering our gifts we opened our presents together. Our grandchildren had a huge pile of presents and they tore open their nicely wrapped presents, they would take a short look
