The Star Trek franchise contains lots of model ships. From the USS Enterprise models to the United Federation of Planets and the bountiful alien antagonist ships, the assortment of model ships offer Star Trek fans a great variety. Most of these models have faithful decals and their own exhibit stands. They are often made from die-cast metal and plastic and some even are outfitted with special effects. It appears most Star Trek model ship fanciers have at least one style of Enterprise ship and often times smaller vessels from the Federation s fleet.
