Why not enforce Rain Water Harvesting across India?
It is a very good Idea and It should be a dream national project as per the necessity of modern times. India is blessed to be a region of monsoon rains and I think there is no area in the world with this type of heavenly asset. But this may be the greatest curse if proper steps for utilization of huge water volumes not taken in time. The government first of all should take concrete steps in protecting and increasing forest land as this is a natural way of rain water harvesting. The forest mafia is a big threat to the ecological setup of country. Town and country planning should include a mandatory provision of rain water harvesting. Government and NGOs should come forward for awareness in this process. I have a provision for collection of 10000 Liters of rain water from my 2000 sq.ft roof.
