Why not diversify across stocks, bonds and commodities?
Stocks, bonds and commodities all have bull and bear markets where they gain and lose value. Spreading your investment across all of them is the same as having no real investment strategy at all. While this may keep your money relatively “safe”, gains you win with one investment will likely be offset by losses in others.
