Mainly because they are all written in C on top of the PalmOS C SDK with all the following disavantages : • lack of portability to other platforms • very low-level APIs (for string manipulation or memory allocation for instance) • no text box component with an horizontal scrolling • no horizontal scrollbar component • no support for monospaced fonts References : • Palm OS Developer Suite • Developer Documentation
