Why not ban post poll political alliance since it cheats the public?
Alliances of political parties cannot be banned. However post poll alliances should not be allowed to be altered for that term, because people vote not only for the party & what they stand for, but also for the alliances & what they expect out of that alliances. As you rightly said, shifting of alliances is a breach of trust of the voters,,,& highly condemnable on moral ground. If I may kindly be pardoned, I feel this also leads to horse-trading & corruption. On the line of the Non-defection bill, these alliances should also be brought under such Law that the alliances should prevail atleast for that term .
