Why not a more drastic measure to create more wealth?
When we look at our current taxation system we find something totally enigmatic- we reward those underachievers and punish the achievers. Basically, the more you make, the more you pay in taxes to our government. I can’t tell you the countless times I have heard people saying that working overtime or taking a promotion just wasn’t worth it because of the increase in taxes and leaving so little left that the increase income was meaningless. Sadly, in a lot of cases, they are right. To add insult to injury, those who take the risks, put up the capital, and with pure sweat equity, start businesses and are awarded even more taxes for a successful venture. When you put forth a radical idea, you also need to justify the reasoning. We have a nation in which there is more wealth than virtually any nation in the world.
