Why no Terry Labonte in the Shootout?
Terry Labonte, who is eligible for Saturday night’s pole winner’s Shootout and is running a limited schedule of 10 races, has decided not to participate. He instead will spend the weekend in the Florida Keys before returning next week to help his son Justin in the Grand National race. Labonte was upset after last year’s Shootout when teams were allowed to pit near the end of the race, after NASCAR officials announced no pit stops would be allowed.
