Why no any anti-microbial agent except anti-fungal agent was sprayed during initial isolation?

Because only fungus grows to such an extent that it makes it impossible for isolation of Chromobacteria from soil. During initial isolation process other bacteria too grow but they do not spread like fungi. There are some rice grains which show purple pigmentation due to growth of Chromobacteria as well as some other bacteria but, there elimination is very easy. So, anti-microbial will give better results but, without there use isolation is possible. It is individual choice.
