Why Network Camera Surveillance is more advantaged and featured then CCTV?
Network camera surveillance uses digital data transmission, which is technologically more advanced then the traditional CCTV analog transmission. Network surveillance cameras have built-in web servers that allow you to view and record video data remotely. Network surveillance cameras have built-in technology known as PoE (Power over Ethernet), the so-called 802.3af standard, which allows power to be transmitted from a PoE switch/hub over a normal Ethernet cable. This cuts out the extra cost and time needed to install power points at each camera, as in the case of installing a CCTV system. A network surveillance system records the digital video data it captured to a DVR (Digital Video Recorder). A DVR is a device to which digital data is recorded, in most cases a HDD (Hard Drive). With a CCTV, analog video data is recorded to a tape drive, in most cases VHS.
