Why National Rifle Association (NRA) classes?
The NRA was started in 1871 primarily to promote firearm safety and education. This continues today with many basic firearms courses, police training, youth firearm awareness through the Eddie Eagle® program and the Refuse To Be a Victim® protection programs. The training courses established by the NRA are recognized as the best training available and as such states that are enacting concealed carry programs are specifying NRA courses, especially “Personal Protection in the Home”, as the accepted course toward the concealed carry license training requirements.
