Why my downloader won download patch 4.0.1 in wow?
I had to run a repair on WoW for my background downloader to start working. To run a repair go to your World of Warcraft folder and there should be a file called repair.exe. Once you double click that it will come up and ask you what kind of repair to run, I just did the Check Files repair, it will then run through all of your Warcraft files and at the end may download whatever files you’re missing. After that is complete try logging into WoW again and see if your background downloader starts. Saw a similar post from the WoW forums. Good luck!
