Why must Tesco close at 4pm on a Sunday?
I think that is is based on religion. Everywhere must close, its a respect thing, it is bad for buiness to close totally on the sabbath, but less eregious to certain groups if the close much earlier than usual. Tesco cannot open longer than the other supermarkets as it gives them an unfair advatage and would cause all others to start doing the same – this would be against the law of the land.
